Travel
To attend PEEC 2024 all participants will meet in Port Alberni BC on the afternoon of March 15th by 5:30pm, and will travel together by boat aboard the wonderful Francis Barkley for the ~3 hour boat trip out to Bamfield. This will be followed by a return trip on the afternoon of March 17th, with a goal to arrive early afternoon to allow those heading back to the Lower Mainland to catch ferries. We will be meeting at the Lady Rose Marine Services dock at the Alberni Harbour quay, which is about a 1 hour drive from Departure Bay terminal in Nanaimo.
Room and Board
We will be hosted by the staff at the Bamfield Marine Sciences Center where the participants will stay for two nights in the Buchanan Lodge. Food will also be provided for participants throughout the conference, we will ask for any dietary requirements upon registration.
